Wesleyan Outing Club

Welcome!

The Wesleyan Outing Club is a student run group, started in 1937. The Club’s headquarters are located at Outhouse, 132 High St. The Club offers a wide range of trips most weekends such as biking, hiking, canoeing, and rock climbing, and longer trips over breaks. Past trips have included winter camping in the White Mountains, biking to nearby Miller’s Pond, and hiking through New England forests near and far. Anyone can join us—absolutely no experience is necessary for most trips. You can be as involved as you please—come on one outing a year, or take on a leadership position. We also have a supply of outdoor gear that you can rent for your own trips including sleeping bags, tents, stoves, canoes, and cross country skis.

Summer Rentals

Around Wes this summer? Want to rent some gear so you can enjoy the

great outdoors? We rent the WOC gear over the summer! We'll need

collateral and a $2 rental fee per item.

NEW GEAR
The Outing Club just purchased some new gear! Our new gear includes: 3 three person tents, 2 two person tents, 6 sleeping bag compression sacks, and 1 new backpack.

DONATION FROM NORTH COVE OUTFITTERS
Several weeks ago, North Cove Outfitters in Old Saybrook, CT helped sponsor the BANFF Outdoor Film Festival here at Wesleyan. They sold over 305 tickets to the show! To help support our Outing Club, they have made a $760 donation from the revenues they generated from the film festival.
